Start the school year off with your Ignite! curriculum up-to-date! Our back-to-school product update includes:

State Standards Imbedded in the Media Interface! Now you can find lessons that correlate to any state standard you're teaching directly from within our media interface! States currently available in the interface are: Alabama, California, Georgia, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, and Texas. More states will be added in future updates!

New Professional Development! Each Ignite! curriculum comes with preloaded implementation videos to give you classroom implementation strategies. Topics include:

• FIND: Learn how to find the Ignite! media lesson you want.
• TEACH: Learn how to teach with the print components of the curriculum.
• INTEGRATE: Learn how to integrate our curriculum with interactive whiteboards and learner response systems.
• ASSESS: Learn how to assess with the curriculum using our informal, formal/summative, formative, and authentic assessment measures.

Brick Customers:

If you would like to update your Brick to the latest release, please perform the following steps:

1. Please attach your Brick to your USB port on a computer that is connected to the internet.
2. Please confirm that while the Brick is connected to your computer, it is not in use. The Brick application must be closed prior to running this update.
3. Click here to initiate the update process.
4. Depending on your internet connection speed, this update download may take up to 15 minutes or longer.
5. The update process will determine the correct Drive letter of your attached Brick and ask you to confirm. Click "Install" to complete this process.
6. The downloaded update will now be applied to your Brick device.
7. Do not interrupt this process while the update is being applied.
8. Once completed, you will receive a message stating so. Please press the "Finish" button.
9. You have successfully updated your Brick! Please unplug the Brick from the USB port and plug it back in. Your new updated curriculum is now ready to use.
Customers in California, Michigan, New Jersey, and South Carolina continue to step 10 to add your state standards.
10. If you reside in California, Michigan, New Jersey, and South Carolina, keep your Brick attached to the USB port and click here to add your state standards to your Brick.

ION Customers:

If you would like to update your ION to the latest release, please follow the below steps. This is a two step process. First Update the ION server to version 1.4. Afterwards, you may update your ION clients to version 3.7.0. Updating the sever will not interrupt your currently deployed clients access to the media, however in order to access the new enhancements, the clients will need receive the below listed client update following your server update.

ION SERVER PATCH

NOTE: This patch is to be applied to the ION SERVER only. It is *not* for ION clients.
This patch fixes functionality issues within the Earth Science section of our curricula.
During the installation of the patch, no service interruption will be experienced by ION clients.

Directions for users:

1. Download the Patch directly to the ION SERVER.
2. Install patch.
3. ION clients may need to delete their temporary internet files from cache in order to access the new changes.

First, Update the ION server to version 1.4

1. Log in to your ION server and verify it has internet connectivity.
2. Go to http://updates.ignitelearning.com/ion/update/IONserverUpdate_3_7_0.exe.
3. Click "Run".
4. Allow update to download. File size is 185MB, so please allow time for download to complete.
5. After download is complete, it will automatically initiate the update installation.
6. Please confirm the destination path is correct for the existing ION installation (defaults to C:\Program Files\Ignite\ION\)
7. Click "Install". The Updater will start copying the new media files to the appropriate directory.
8. Once completed, you will receive a message stating so. Please press the "Finish" button.
9. Your ION server has now been updated to the latest 1.4 version.

Second, Update the ION clients to version 3.7.0

1. Log in to one of your ION client stations and verify it has internet connectivity.
2. Go to http://updates.ignitelearning.com/ion/update/IONClientUpdate_3_7_0.exe.
3. Click "Run".
4. Allow update to download. File size is 15MB, so please allow time for download to complete.
5. After download is complete, it will automatically initiate the update installation.
6. Please confirm the destination path is correct for the existing ION installation (defaults to C:\Program Files\Ignite\ION\)
7. Click "Install". The Updater will start copying the new media files to the appropriate directory.
8. Once completed, you will receive a message stating so. Please press the "Finish" button.
9. Your ION client has now been updated to the latest version 3.7.0. This client update ignores the IP address and port configuration, therefore it will continue to be configured with the previous pointer information that was used prior to the update.
Customers in California, Michigan, New Jersey, and South Carolina continue to step 10 to add your state standards.
10. If you reside in California, Michigan, New Jersey, and South Carolina, stay logged into your ION client, and click here. Repeat steps 3-8 to add your state standards to your ION client(s).
